Best coin reference books

I don't think we have a recent topic on this, so here goes. If you are serious about collecting coins, you'll find yourself collecting coin books too.

I'm looking for a good reference guide for world silver coins from 1500-1900.

Best guides I know of so far:

Groom for 20th century British, Davies for 19th century, and ESC (Seaby) for early milled.

There's obviously the Krause collection, but I'm eager to here of more!
Not for whole world, but for Europe and Germany there are the (old) Davenport reference books:

Davenport, J. S.:
=German Talers 1500-1600. Frankfurt 1979.
=German Secular Talers 1600-1700. Frankfurt 1976.
=German Church and City Talers 1600-1700, 2. Auflage. Galesburg 1975.
=German Talers 1700-1800. Galesburg 1958.
=German Talers since 1800. Galesburg 1949.
=Guldentalers and Silvergulden. Frankfurt 1982.
=European Crowns 1484-1600. Frankfurt 1978.
=European Crowns 1600-1700. Galesburg 1974.
=European Crowns 1700-1800. Galesburg 1971.
=European Crowns since 1800. Galesburg 1974.
=Large size silver coins of the world. Iola 1991.
Thanks, I think that's exactly what I need!

I especially need the last 5 volumes, but preferably all of them.

Are they easy/cheap to get hold of?
Kleshchinov-Grishin is the go-to catalog for 1535-1696 Russian wire money. Technically that falls under "world silver coins from 1500-1900" :-)

The volumes covering the period I described (1535-1696) are reasonably easily available online, but I'm not sure how easy it is to find printed copies; supposedly there's a volume covering the 1696-1717 wire kopeks as well, but I've never actually seen it anywhere (only references to it).
There is, however, a short "date identifier" volume for 1696-1717 (also reasonably easily available online) that doesn't try to list every variety.
Lee gave me a great book . " England's Striking History. An introduction to the history of England and its silver Hammered coins from the Anglo-Saxons to the English civil war. " by C H Perkins
Great reading and a lot of information. Again Lee thank you

It is, what it is, or is it.
With a little patience the Davenport European Crown catalogs can be found for 20 to 40 USD each. Try searching Ebay, Amazon and Abebooks. The 1484-1600 volume tends to be more expensive (I was happy to find one for 60USD).
