Am I the first to "thumb up" a post in this new section? (Not counting the general "Forum Policy" post, of course.)

Sorry for the stupid question, but why a forum on the banknotes if we can't collect them as coins using Numista?

I have been moving 2017 relevant older topics from other sections to this new section.
Will banknote swaps and trades be allowed on here (makes sense to me), or
will they only be allowed on the proper swaps and trades forum above this one?

Moderators should decide this one. What is more convenient for you?

This one, for me.
To talk about, buy, sell, swap, identify and so on - anything with banknotes in one section.
Depends on what Xavier says I guess, but yes this one for me.

Just an observation guys, the locked Forum Policy has been copied and pasted into this section but needs to be updated (on all policies) to reflect the new section.
Just because you can't see it ... doesn't mean it isn't there - Anon.

Oh, this could be a terrible temptation for me... I've drawn the line at coins only (with the exception of countries I've been to and kept some lower-valued notes from) but there are so many beautiful and historic banknotes. But coins can be expensive enough as it is!

Interesting.. however I feel without a catalogue it’s missing something fairly integral. The main beauty of Numista is Its catalogue.
Still something to look at though I suppose since some colonies never issued coins I would love to see some of the notes !
