My biggest swap is in the works. I have a mega coin swap in the works, my swap counterpart has selected 139 coins, and I have selected 105 coins to swap. Now we just have to work out the details. I am willing to trade more coins because I think a few of his are very good. I don't think I want to try to add up a price index.

I always consider the cost of postage. To make an exchange viable, the cost of postage should be a small percentage of the value of the coins, unless silver coins are involved, then postal costs should be a slightly higher percentage, as package will need to be insured for a greater amount.
Swapping large numbers of circulation coins is a great way of enhancing your collection, so if you are both in agreement, go for it, especially if you both have good feedback scores.
I'm just a collector of coins, not a slave to it, unless I am in a coin shop.

Recently completed my biggest swap. 20 of my coins in exchange for 4 coins.
Swapping is one of the best parts of Numista. I pick up coins from any where that are not part of my goals and trade them for coins I would like.(8

I recently completed a swap of over a hundred coins and it went great. Postage was expensive (I am in the US and my swap partner in Europe), but there is no way around it. We kept adding coins as we found them on each others list until we agreed we were ready to confirm and the whole negotiation took several months. Right now we have another swap open with 3-5 coins picked for each. In a month or so we will agree we both are excited to get the coins we have agreed on and close that swap and ship.
