1876s Finland 50p

This coin is authentic, but I was told that I should have it "restored" in order to gain a grade/certification.  I have been under the impression that original condition is preferred among collectors.  Any advice?  I can email pics; having a hard time attaching one here.  Aside from some  dark discoloration and a reddish stain/tarnish the physical integrity seems to be equal to VF or better.

Welcome to the site. Were you trying to attach a picture within the main body of the message you wrote above? They have to be added in a certain way. There are six buttons just above there, and you want the last one, as per below. I added that picture using this method. Click on the Image button, and an Upload your image box appears, then click on Browse... to search for where the picture is stored, then click on Upload. I added the red arrow - it does not appear on the page! Nice coin - I hope someone can answer.

A grade certification? And which self-righteous anal-retentive has the arrogance to "certify" that your coin is this grade or that?

I shouldn't bother. Leave it exactly as it is, and save your money.
