I was reorganizing and found this coin covered with verdigris. I have cleaned it up a lot,
but still cannot identify what the heck it is. Any help is appreciated.
I believe this is the reverse.
Found with Russian empire coins...and the second photo is the obverse.
Beware of forgeries. But....sometimes they can be valuable, too.
I have bought "lots" of old polushkas and dengas, which is how I got this coin. This one appears to be from the 1600s, but not from Russia. It sort of look like a castle of sorts on the one photo at the top. I checked Poland, Livonia, Sweden, and Lithuania with no luck.
