120,000th listing is also lowest number Spink ref on Numista

Just thought I would share with you all a little work in progress on the catalogue.

As part of a mini-project to develop the Celtic Britain catalogue here, a second century BC gold Stater with the Spink catalogue ref no. 2 has been added and it turned out to be the 120,000th coin listing to be submitted here on Numista https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces120000.html.

The work is on-going and the current target is to have at least 5 types from each 'currency' to arrive at a total of 50 listings as a minimum, then I might take a break and work on one of my other 'mini-projects'!

If a page is erased though, does the old number get filled in by the next coin or does it just continue to count upward whether previous numbers are erased or not?

Yes Tovarich, you are quite right, if a listing is deleted the number does not get re-used but instead progresses on to the next number in sequence. This is the reason that I specified 'listing' rather than 'coin', since there are currently only 104,735 coins in the Numista catalogue.
