Can anybody help me.

Senegal
KM# Tn10
I believe the KM#Tn10 is for the Kayes token, not Dakar.
The token you have is in amazing condition, most aren't and they are usually very expensive in rougher condition. I wonder if this token is one that is being sold as silver plated for a few dollars?????
I agree Tn 10 is for Kayes
This is not silver or silver plated, when i decided to get the coin/token was really dirty, and clearly wasn't any variety of silver.
First i thought it was a kind of essai, but couldn't find it either.
That's why i'm asking if somebody has any information of it
At least, there are other ones
And the silver plated coins does'nt really look silver.

As far as I know, there were no copper-nickel 25 Centimes 1920 Dakar tokens. Only one in aluminum, and it's rare. Here is one from my collection. http://avscoins.com/en/coin/7700/dakar-25-centimes-1920/
I suspect that the copper-nickel one is a recent reproduction/copy/fake.
I collect coins and tokens which circulated in Africa from 18th century to 2000. I sell about 7000 illustrated world coins from http://www.avscoins.com.
If I compare the pictures:
- birds around the ship are missing.
- dot between 2 and 5 is out of place
- SENEGAL - SÉNÉGAL
- right side of the ship is different.
- left side of the ship is different
- overall to crude.
- ....
So it is propably a chinese replica.

It is a Senegal Notgeld coin from 1920 when there was a coin shortage. It is temporary money and it is listed in the Krause catalog as Tn5. Is is made from aluminum. I have one in my collection.

Not the Tn5, sorry…

Too much differences between this coin and the Tn5.

No accents, no birds, dots before and after “Dakar”, “Chamber of Commerce” shorter than the original token, etc…

Maybe an “Essai”, or maybe a counterfeit…

Okay I have the Notgeld token in my collection
