Austria Prisoner of War camps WWI - Looking for menzel catalogue

7 posts
Hello,

I have a few POW tokens from Austrian monarchy during WWI.
This type: https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces54487.html
However, this sheet says Brass coated iron, but the coin looks zinc.
I have a similar 2 heller that is actually brass coated iron, it is magnetic.
I also have 20 and 50 hellers, both zinc, and 2, 10 and 20 both yellow, magnetic, obviously the brass coated iron types.
Does anyone have access to the Menzel catalogue ?
Do those exist in both metals ? The 2 hellers does indeed:

nice do you have any spare I collect military coinage
we do not own our coins, we are merely guardians of them for future generations.
I have the menzel, but cant find marchtrenk. Are you sure that austrian coins are inside?
Hello,

Well, the coin mentioned in my first message has a Menzel reference, and given the title of the book ( ... im In und Ausland, meaning ... in and out of Germany) it should have Austria.
But in fact I don't know.

The no at the coin seems to be wrong:
obviously you have a different edition of menzel catalogue, because they are all present in mine (i have 2nd edition 2005)

andré already sent me a list and i will add the reference...

Hi Thomas,
bought my books used. And they are very old. I am check the year in a few days.
i is ok if in a newer version are more coins inside, but changing the numbers is strange.
