Hungarian Verdigris Removal #2 For CRO321

7 posts
This will be my last preservation topic for a couple of weeks as I am about to move to my new house, this means all my equipment is packed away until my workshop is set up.

This one is amongst a few I did from Cro321, I have not managed to research it so maybe someone can confirm what this is... ;) I had to post this one due to details that were not visible like shown when I was done (Sadly only one side, the other side was crushed).

Very happy with this one even if it is just on one side of the coin.

Before firing.....

After firing was complete, before the charred verdigris was removed.....

How it looked when I was done.....

There are a couple others that I will be sharing asap and then I can get them all on their way back home. That's all for now.....until next time. ;)

The CoA looks Hungarian to me.
Great, there was really nothing visible at first and it turned out rather nice.
Yes definitely looks Hungarian.

Thank you Fluke! :)

And as others have pointed out, the coin is Hungarian. It was found along with other medieval Hungarian coins and has the Hungarian coat of arms on it. ;)
I collect and deal in ancient Roman coin. In case you're looking for affordable ancient coins or need any help with the coins you already have send me a message.
Thanks for the clarification, I have amended the title. It is so satisfying when it looks like all detail is completely lost and identification is unlikely, then I reveal details like this. :`

There are some others that have also revealed some nice detail just like this one, I am looking forward to posting them on the forum and physically back to Cro321 over the next couple weeks after I move.
