The power of 10 game

Alright, we've been up and down the alphabet, we can keep going with that if you want, but I'll start off a new one.

I'll start off and post a coin with a mintage of over 10 Billion, the next person posts one with a mintage of 1-10 billion, the next posts a coin with a mintage of 100 million to 1 billion and so on going down in powers of 10. We'll see if we can get right down to a coin with a mintage of 1-10.

It should be easy to start off but get progressively harder

So here we go,

Over 10 Billion - USA 1982 penny mintage 10,712,515,000

Turkey 100,000 Lira
Year 2000
Mintage 101,439,000

Next is 10,000,000 to 100,000,000
Token collector [1600-1899] with some coins
You missed out 1,000,000,000 to 10,000,000,000 ;) and I was meaning for us to post a coin from our collections

With 1,080,000,000 minted, here is 1 yuan from Taiwan, 1981:

Up next: 100 million to 1 billion.
Perhaps it will be easier to keep track if we use words rather than numerals

We've got
"over 10 billion" and
"1 Billion to 10 Billion"

So next up is

100 Million to 1 Billion....go to it
I think the numbers game is better.

Doesn't America use different terminology when you start getting quite a few noughts in it.
So numbers are the most accurate.

The 100 million to 1 Billion range is quite easy: you find some in all major European countries, especially shortly after introducing a new currency: new French franc, (West-)German Mark. The UK new decimal penny and 2 pence...(in 1971 even in excess of a billion) or after a new base metal coin replaced a former silver.

The 10 million to 100 million range is also quite easy, for similar reasons...

Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic
10 kopek 1923 - mintage 33,424,000
15 kopek 1923 - mintage 28,504,000
20 kopek 1923 - mintage 27,580,000

I have coins with mintages down to five digits, but I'm not sure how many I have actual pics for.

If we make it all the way to 1-10, how about continuing by powers of 9? Then 8, 7, 6, and ultimately all the way down to 2 (i.e. starting with 8,589,934,592 to 17,179,869,184 and going down to 1-2).
Alternately, we can try to work down by a combination of starting digits and number of zeroes (40 to 30 million...), but I don't think there's any coin with a mintage between 9 and 10 billion, unfortunately.
Ok, now down to 7 numbers.

This coin is on my wish list for a long time now z|

By the way, National Bank of Ukraine always emphasises the weight of PURE silver content in the coin. So, as long as all Ukrainian silver coins are minted from .925 silver, there are 62.2 g of pure silver there and the overall weight of the coin is 67.25. People often get confused and try to edit Numista entries stating that it's written 62.2 and can't be 67.25.
ROMA AETERNA
