Hi,

Why is this a part of Germany??
It was in that period a part of the kingdom Holland (King Napoleon).

Could it be relocated from Germany to Netherlands??
With regards.
Bert.
Netherlands.
All catalogues and auction houses put it under Germany, ex. https://www.kuenker.de/de/archiv/stueck/104991
as Herrschaft Knyphausen.

Here is what the WC catalogue writes, altough not a good resourse of information here.

Here with more information,
https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wilhelm_Gustav_Friedrich_Bentinck
Louis Bonaparte took control of Varel and Knyphausen on the 1st of November 2016 but already given back with full sovereignity at the beginning of 1807. On 11 November 1807 it became then a part of the Kingdom of Holland.
In 1814 it was given to the Tzar Peter I of Russia as they had the right of these lands after the marriage of Katharina II. Only 1826 it became German again.

The coin in the catalogue was minted in the 11 months that it stayed German in 1807 so it should remain in German catalogue.

Here also a good read and information on the line of Knyphausen https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Innhausen_und_Knyphausen which also had a dutch line from 1814 to 1884
