I was able to win one of over 200 estate lots till someone figured out the secret and now those lots are going for over a hundred dollars each! I managed to get one early on at about 40 bucks. Thought I'd made a dumb buy but these were TRULY Unsearched !

I got multiple silver pieces but I have bought so many 100s of coins in lots I can't remember what came from where but most were probably in the mentioned estate lot

Panama: A 1953 Almost un-circulated looking Cuarto Balboa Silver coin (Among other Balboas of very great quality)
France: 1934 20 Francs (silver content)
Sweden: 1935 2 Kronor (silver content)
Malaya: 1941 10 cents (silver content)

5. Anything from the 1800s usually surprised me and doesn't happen often. I have very few 1800s.
I got chocolate coin once.

I've bought bulk lot of coins only once in my life. Never again! B) There was one nice coin, though: Belgium 1901 5 centimes AU.

Pretty much the same here. :~ The only thing I got out of that was a new country, Latvia penny equivalent coin.
Never bought a bulk lot myself, as most likely, it've been checked at least once before it get to be a "bulk lot".

Still, while digging in bulk lots here and there, in the piles of coins "5 for a dollar" a.k.a. 1 leu/piece here in Romania, the best my catches are:

Mexico 20 centavos 1920
Romania 1 leu 1884
Romania 20 bani 1900
Straits settlements 10 cents 1919
Most unusual was an AH 1272 (1874-5) 1/2 Miscal, of Kwang-Hsu minted under a rebel leader in Sinkiang in the name of the Ottoman sultan. Apparently it's quite rare among the community here too; 97 Numista rarity now.
In one Norway lot that I bought for just NZ$10 I got lots of rare coins, but the standouts were

Norway UNC 1927 Krone
Norway VF 1918 iron 5 Ore
Norway VF 1909 2 Ore

and from a UK lot, as well as many silver coins from George IV to George VI and lots of fractional farthings, I also got

UK UNC 1843 Maundy 1½ pence
UK UNC 1867 Maundy 4 pence
I know a place here in my country where there are truly unsearched lots, they sell them by the kilo. Of course there are a lots of common coins, but there are some rarities and lucky finds too (with catalogue values):

10 fillér km547 1950 aUNC $30
1 fillér km505 1929 xf+ $25
10 fillér km 507 1940 vf+ $30
$12 CAD in $1 and $2 coins

And a lots of "little" silver coins like Swedish silver öre, US dimes, Russian Empire kopecks and so on.

I really hope this is true.

I've never bought a bulk lot but I've always wanted to. I have terrible luck though. x.
A 20 Lepta Crete coin from 1900.

1 Pysa from Zanzibar 1882

100 Lire commemorative coin of Second Vatican Council from Vatican City 1962

Those are some of the more recent finds.
