Sorry to everyone who has been trying to trade with me. I set a goal to run 2017km this year. I am going to run a Marathon on September 4th, and started my training officially this week. Have been running a lot of miles since the first of the year to reach my goal. I have been running of and on since I was 12. I ran a lot in 2005 that year I ran the Bolder Boulder (10k) Georgetown to Idaho Springs (1/2 marathon) and the Chicago Marathon. Then we had kids and running almost stopped. I am really committed this year. My daughter is 10 and my son 3. Have a stable job, what allows me to find time to run.
I run casually, and managed to do 21 miles in under three hours with only 3 training runs but again, it has really taken a rather secondary setting in my life. I'd love to get back into for sure!
I have a lot of respect for runners, but I am not attracted to doing it myself. It seems very hard on one's body, especially if you are heavier (I weigh about 230 pounds). I did a 5K about ten years ago and it was really hard on my feet and knees, even though I "fast walked" a good portion of it.
I do enjoy long distance bicycling. I try to do a 100 km ride at least twice a month, and in September I'm planning to ride in a formal 200 km event.
Quote: "Jesse11"Good luck training for the marathon!

thanks, running 100+ miles a month. I need to try to slow down in my training runs.
