If I open a topic, or comment it at least once, there is no way for me to unsubscribe from it.
Would it be possible to add such an option?

Go to your settings and then right down the bottom just untick the box "Always notify me of forum replies"

And what if I want to be notified on a particular topic? Will I have this option after I uncheck the box?

I just want to add my voice to this as well. I would like to be able to stop following a thread once my interest in that topic has ended. Could you please find a way for us to quit from a specific thread?

Well, if you stop reading the thread you also won't get any new notifications. So the system already works so that you only get messages if you are still interested in the thread.

You can now stop notifications for a specific forum topic. The button to subscribe or unsubscribe to email notifications for a specific forum topic is located next to the "Reply" button.
