My Numista 2017 Token Design

2 posts
Hello all!

I'm really excited about this competition and I hope to see a lot of great designs. I've put a lot of thought into my design and wanted to get some feedback.

The obverse features a globe with the word "Numista" written across it signifying the unification of the world through Numista. I chose to put the globe in this position simply to demonstrate the intercontinental nature of the website. I know that this excludes large portions of the world, but having the Pacific Ocean on the coin was out of the question. The coins around the globe represent the different monitory systems throughout the world. I know that this is not an exhaustive list. There are at least a dozen more, but I felt like this group of symbols represented the diversity of money types throughout the world. The coin at the apex of the arc features the Numista "N" which may also represent "North" as it is positioned at the northernmost point of the globe. At the base of this side is written 2007-2017 for the ten years of Numista.

The reverse side features the words "Echanges Sans Frontiéres" in French and "Exchange Without Boundaries" in English around a depiction of one hand giving a coin to another. This represents giving and receiving, both aspects of the trade.

So, what do you think?
