Hi, - a small competition. Who will post a coin with most of horisontal or arc lines ?! :)
I mean lettering lines of oficial coin legend, and not lettering on some things on a coin image ( for example, flag, arms, book, shield or so)
arc lines = 1 line
circular legend = 1 line.
horisontal lettering = 1 line
lets Go ! :)
Coin from my collection :
Ethiopian 1 Piastre / 1/16 Thaler Union of Traders and Industrialists of Dire-Daoua
7 LINES !!!! Who will more ?

Here is a privately issued halfpenny token of the Province of Upper Canada:
The reverse is my profile picture. There's a mistake in the name which should be BROCK. I love the way they dealt with the problem of lack of space at line 7. The Romans occasionally did exactly the same thing on their stone inscriptions.
The areas of weakness are usual with these tokens, even in UNC condition, and are due to the fact that the tokens were very thin (to make a profit, of course) with not enough metal transfer into the letters where the ship's sails are on the opposite side.

These aren't tokens, but circulated coins:
6 lines:

In case we can count also lines with music notes, then this coin has 18.
Luxembourg 2013; 2 euro commemorative.
Who more?

I'm not sure it actually counts as lettering, what with being partly covered by the design, but I did find an example of
this Israeli commemorative in circulation once (maybe twice, since I seem to have two of them in similar condition).
I count 24 background lines, plus 5-7 regular lettering lines (not sure how to count them exactly).

On a circulating commemorative Canadian coin, a lot of the background lines are covered by the design, but I can count 14 in total. And if one were to count the
25 cents ,
De Salaberry , and
1812 as separate lines, that would push this coin up to 17 lines total.

So what coin is in the lead?
Taking a break from swapping for a while, but still interested in pre 1799 Spanish coins, I will make time for that!
Looking for pre 1783 coins

I did find this though...

P.S Its a good job that an I prefer striking imagery to tiny scrawl although the examples here would be a lovely edition to any collection

There's this Albanian coin
https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces40659.html
with their declaration of independence on it, literally, but I'm unsure if that counts as lettering.
Used time zone is UTC+2:00. Current time is 13:43.
