Question for Experienced Americans Shippers, Regarding Cost and Trades to other Countries...

Hi everyone I have a couple of questions for experienced Americans shippers and traders regarding cost and trades to other international countries around the world.

I've kinda been hesitant to entertain trades with other members across the world due to concerns and my lack of knowledge of shipping rates across the globe. Quiet a few people from overseas have asked me if I would like to do a trade and I always seem to turn them down due to the fact that I am unsure what the prospective costs would be for shipping some coins.

My experience so far with trades has only been domestic (USA) and Canada.
USA shipping I know all about.
Shipping to Canada, I love, but man does it hurt! It's like $9.50 to send anything 1st class to Canada...OUCH!!!

So hear is the meat and potatoes of my main questions OK...

Let's say someone in England or France or Germany, etc. wants to trade like a couple of coins with me...
Can anyone give me a "round about estimate" on what the shipping costs to other countries might be?
I understand it will very greatly most likely.
But geesh, if I just want to send a couple coins up to Canada, it's really expensive!
I was just wondering if anyone could share or give me a little input on what I might expect...
Also are there other countries that are cheaper or more economical to ship to?

I just want to start being a little more active on here starting next year as I am building up some feedback's ect. (up to 10 now! hahaha!!!)

Mostly, I've been after Canadian Coins only. But I think next year, I want to start collecting other coins too. Nothing crazy, just common stuff to look at basically.

Any input would be appreciated and helpful! :wiz:
I am starting to trade again please
Open to trades with members in the United States and Canada at this time
Please help me find Canadian Coins for my collection!!!
Postal services in Germany are very cheap. A package till 500 g. from Germany to Canada/USA costs 3,70 € (+ 2,50 € for registered mail). And a package of 500 g. are already a lot of coins.

For Belgium it's a lot more: a package to Canada/USA till 350 g. costs 8,70 € (+ 5,29 € for registered mail):

For the Netherlands it's even more than for Belgium.
I use the Post Office's online calculator all the time to work out shipping costs:

You can send a few coins to Canada or elsewhere for less than $1.50 in an envelope, if you can get it past the post office clerks as a regular letter. If you're sending more than a few coins, the best thing is to use a bubble envelope and send it as an International Large Envelope. That price depends on weight, but starts at only about $3 for a couple of ounces.

Whatever you do, you want to stay out of the Package rates that start at about $13.
I TRY to fit my coins if possible into a regular legal envelope so that I can just pay $1.19 and get an international stamp.
