I remember the first time i saw the Australian 2 dollar...it reminded me of pfefferneussen cookies my grandmother made with a thimble. I am almost sure I mispelled that name...

I feel interested in giant coins. I really want them they are nice and heavy, but won't fit in my coin album 20mm * 20mm. But I will search the Tongan 2 pa'anga - 44.5 mm.
Regarding size! I have a 1891 Eritrea Tallero that is 40 mm and 28.13 grams of .8000 silver. That's a big coin! I have it up for sale, anyone interested? If so you can see it at USACOINBOOK/BADBEATCOINS. Let's talk.
The Albanian coin is so big that it is half of the worth that costs millions of a silver coin!!!
I have a gold coin from Myanmar. It came from my family. https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces24239.html

Can anyone show me the largest coin of the world?
For circulation issues, it has to be Swedish plate coinage. The 10 daler weighed almost 20kg. This is the smallest of the series - a half-daler from 1743. It weighs 237.5g, and is about 11cm across the long edge.
I'm still looking for the Gambian 8 shillings, which to the best of my knowledge was the largest circulating coin of the 20th century.
The Siberian 10 kopecks is huge, but pretty rare and popular, so well out of my budget (as much as I want one).
My current largest coin is the 5 kopek copper (already linked). I do not currently expect to realistically get anything larger.
Quote: "Oklahoman"The circulating 2 pa'anga of Tonga is 3.5 mm larger than Gambia's 8 shilling.
That it is! Not sure how I missed it in my original search.
And appears to be a lot less valuable/expensive, too (despite the somewhat smaller mintage, and much higher rarity index).
