Further to my earlier message on this forum concerning the 1998 EEC 50 pence coin, which has now been resolved, I would like to move on to the next problem.
Still trying to locate a Kew Gardens 50 pence coin for this young collector to add into the Royal Mint folder.
I have contacted collectors who have this coin listed on the Numista website asking for selling price or possible exchange, but as yet, I have had no replies.
So, thelads grandmother, who wants to buy the coin for the boys Birthday, so any help would be gratefully received.
If you would prefer to exchange it, please see my list.
It's not easier to buy that coin by a local coins store?
Commemoratieve 50 cents are, despite their low value, very hard to find and sometimes it becomes cheapier to buy than to swap.
Mark,
She know only too well the price as I have been keeping my eyes peeled on eBay. Before we go down that route, I thought I would give my fellow collectors on Numista a chance.
I have contacted 4 collectors who have this coin in their exchange lists, offering to buy it or make some kind of exchange, but sadly, have not had one reply.
I am off to London in a few weeks, so may look around there.
Yes, been watching eBay for a month or so now and have a reasonable idea of the price. The lady who wishes to obtain it for her grandson is fully aware of these prices, but as this seems to be the only way to get it now, she is prepared to pay these prices. It will complete the Royal Mint folder.

Mark,
Iremember when the undated 20 pence piece was selling for over £100.00. Even this last week, new £5 note has been selling for miles over face value.
