Well I guess Neil and myself are the ones most affected here... While most of you guys go to sleep (In the western hemisphere) the Forum turn a dead place during daylight time in this side of the world...
What its possible to do: catch up with posts that were active while I was sleeping, reply to messages that I received, and or browse for a possible good swap partner and wait for him to wake up eventually when I am going to sleep.
Anyone else I am missing here that is active in our zone???
We need more people to get active in the Forum in this region. there are almost 29 million Australians and 4.5 in New Zealand, I guess they are all drinking beer...
The rest of the area might have language barrier issues like Japan, Korea and China, but what about Hong Kong, Singapore, and other locations where English is widely spoken.
Does Vietnamese member (French Speakers) are active in the french forum? what about New Caledonia, and other territories?
Seems they aren't. Never seen members from the Pacific Overseas. And Vietnamese members usually write in English, not French.
I remembered that in the French forum, our former teammate Jedsada was living in Thailand. Unfortunately, he comes very scarcely.

I am awake almost all night so I am online when the other side of the earth just wake up. It would be good an option to display logged in users of the forum. Of course with the option to hide your status from settings panel.
I live in Moscow, so even though I'm a lot of a night owl I'm no help there - Japanese afternoon to evening is my early to late morning, which is the one time in the day when I'm probably sleeping.
Agree with Andy289, incidentally. Don't most serious forums have this?
I don't mind too much. It's not like the forums are live chatrooms. You can just add your 2 cents worth a few hours later...often it sparks up a debate that had drifted away.

This could go along with the instant messenger idea I had previously.
I don't think anything will be changed soon. Even with a decent catalog the forum is far behind with usual features of any other forums. As a developer I am disappointed to not see improvements over time.
I agree fully seeing as this forum is still running the basic default forum pro silver template. There are so many plugins that could boost the forum potential, including issues like shown here.

I'm not one for computers and all that techie stuff but have enjoyed becoming more active on the forum. This is the first forum I've ever been on so if this is outdated I'd really like to see what the newer versions are like.
I don't want to hijack the thread with another subject but there are many improvements that could be done without much effort. What means new? For me new could be a website using new technologies for a proper display on different devices. Right now I see this website on half of my display.

I have been in many forums circa 1998 and I can tell that there are many different ways to show the same content and it will give a nice improvement and maybe a lot of new users will make the move to join.
Two years ago I was just a frequent visitor for about 6-8 months... then I decided to join, but for sure I will have join the first day if the site looked different and had more functions.

Same here...
I get this add screen on my Iphone every time I use the site from my mobile... ANNOYING!!!
I am using it on a very large display and the content is all wrapped in 1000px, imagine how much unused empty space I see. But the idea is the same, content should be displayed efficiently starting from mobile to large desktop displays.
