When cataloging some coins today, I noticed that my two 1952 Finland 1 markka coins (KM #36) were slightly different. In coin 1 the lines in the St. John cross (aka Bowen node) are thicker, the legend around the perimeter of the coin is farther from the edge, and the word TASAVALTA seems to begin at about 11:58 o'clock on the coin. In coin 2, the St. John cross has thinner lines, the legend is closer to the edge (thus the distance between cross and legend is greater), and the word TASAVALTA seems to begin at about 11:59 o'clock.
This page mentions that four varieties were produced of the 1952 1 markka. Should these be noted on the Numista page for this coin? Since details for this coin have already been verified, I'm unable to add new years/varieties. Should a note be added explaining that varieties exist, or should the varieties be listed individually so collectors can record which varieties they have?
