I have a 1941 Malaya 5 cent banknote. It is in beautiful uncirculated condition. In fact it is one of the nicest I have ever seen. It would appear this is quite a rare note in unc. I just saw one sell for $500! What is the general value for these?

They are fairly common.

krause is never a good source for values but it gives you some kind of idea about the price range:
