French Indochina - 1 piastre 1931
Someone could give me information about this piece?
It could be trial strikes, or essai cancelled? or something similar?

Have you given it a silver test?
Either way it is something to keep...I've never seen a coin given that treatment.

Hello,
I'm afraid it may well be a "squeeze job":

Try:
vice jaws
in Google images and have a look at the patterns. You would need to know what the French did to cancel coins at that time. If there is an official lattice pattern they used, then you would need to compare your coin with certified cancellations.
