It looks like different coins in the catalog use "Assuan" or "Aswan" for the same place. Wikipedia states that "Assuan" was the older term and "Aswan" is the current english translation. Is that correct? If so, can we either only use one of them or even better, cross reference the terms so that we can find the coins easier? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aswan

This is an interesting case as we usually prefer using local names aka. Aswan (only removing the flat accent over the 2nd a to ease any specific search). I hope I'm not wrong in my interpretation of guidelines.

Having visited this most beautiful of cities I can confirm that it's Aswan. That's what the street signs, maps, boat and train schedules call it, so that's what I call it.
The Aswan Dam is never referred to as the Assuan Dam either to the best of my knowledge.
