I have a coin of the type listed above, apparently cupronickel (https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces3010.html).
There are two date varieties (large and small) listed for 1946 on that page, without any further explanation (as to what the difference is exactly).
That might not be so bad, but the entry for the completely different bronze type (https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces1363.html) has an image explaining the two dates that seems to belong to the cupronickel type page (the design is wrong for the bronze type). The following year list has only one 1946 variety.
What's going on, and would it be correct to use that explanation for my cupronickel coin?
