2x2 Coin Storage

4 posts
I know there have been many threads on how to store coins: 2x2s, flips, albums, boxes etc.

If you're into origami, and want a temporary solution to your 2x2 storage, I think with thick enough stock paper, this could work quite well.

Just tried it with an A4 page (210mmx297mm, 8.3"x11.7") and it worked quite well.
May need to trim a little off the long edge to get the width closer to 8".
But quite pleased with the result, especially for temporary storage of 2x2s.

If you make one with trimmed card and one untrimmed, may even be able to make a lid?

These kind of boxes tend to be quite expensive in the UK, so I'm always looking for cheaper options.

I'm not an expert in any kind of coins, but I reckon I'm good at research and will do my best to help. Feel free to tell me my identifications/valuations/gradings are wrong. It's the only way I'll learn.
For my "waiting" coins that are flipped I use my old iPhone boxes both 5 & 6+ have been handy and the Apple Watch box looks like it could be fantastic for it although I've not yet tore the insides out on that one ;)
Re-using boxes is always good.
I always carry around an empty 2x2 in my wallet in case I see a box at work or in a charity shop that I could make use of.
I have had a few funny looks when I take out this little square of card to measure up against random boxes.

That's a good idea ! I'll have to do the same ;)
