I do a lot of "easy search" when adding my coins to my collection.

I know how to use the advance search, and I often use it.

I noticed that if I search in the easy serach field for "1 escudo portugal 1985" I have no results. But I get the correct result when using the advanced search.

Just wondering... why the easy search gives no results?

Not sure if this a bug though

This is strange indeed. And when you delete the "1" and only put "escudo 1985 Portugal" in the easy search, you get all the other denominations issued in 1985, except the 1 escudo.
If you use advanced search, then the 1 escudo 1985 is visible.

I am having the same issue when I want to search for 1897 25 cents Netherlands; dime USA 1954; and other coins...I am only able to access their sites by clicking the link under my coins

Over past 2 or 3 days I have entered my Hong Kong and Greece coins, mostly using simple search. I first noticed that simple search for Hong Kong 10 cents 1997 (KM# 66) brought no result but I found it in other ways. Rest of Hong Kong seemed to work. Greece worked as far as I know. Seeing this thread now simple search does not seem to work for any of the coins I entered (Greece 1 drachme 1926 and Hong Kong 5 dollars 1997).

I changed to "bug report", please vote who is affected by this issue.

Maybe is some deep config gone mad after the site was moved to a new server?

I realized this is happening with lots of coins, the easy search is not working at all.

Similarly within countries when searched by year

This started happening today. Yesterday the Easy Search was working fine.

Looks like Year field are excluded from Easy Search.

Advanced Search works fine:

Same type of problems happening here, eg a search for 1886 Belgium brought up only 2 coins, and only the Dutch version listings (not the French Version listings)
But simple search was working fine a couple of days ago.

Ive only started to get this issue. It's frustrating, no matter how I search there's no way for me too access the 2014 Gibraltar issues other than the Xmas 50p and a 5p coin..

You all can use country list instead. Yes, it is long workaround, but at least you will get where you want, and you can adjust your search settings there - commemoratives or not etc..

Also we can still use advanced search, that works.

You're missing the point. There's a function that used to work, that now doesn't. It needs to be fixed.

Yes, I was trying to point out other options which can ease our life with this malfuction, until it is repaired and working again.

Actually it seems broken again. I'm investigating.

Not working for me (or I'm doing something wrong)...

An easy search for '2½ gulden' returns nothing. An easy search for 'netherlands 1961' doesn't find the 2½ Gulden I'm looking for either. An easy search for '2.5 gulden' returns only a Surinam 250 cents coin.

An advanced search for Netherlands and the face value 2½ returns nothing either, by the way. I have to put 2.5 as face value to find it.

This coin will not show up in a search for Travancore, but it shows up when I go to Indian states - Travancore...
