Proof Coins of Morocco

7 posts
Hello,
there are only the standard issues of Morocco inside the catalogue, but there are also Proof coins 1, 5, 10, 20, 50 Centimes, 1 Dirham, all 1974 / 1395 and 5 Dirhams 1975 / 1396, all minted by the Royal Mint. Please add this coins!

Thanks and regards!
this set is not proof set. Only 20 proof sets known ( Krause) with Market value 1275 $

Proof sets, issued by Royal Mint always have " Proof set" in the title

But, of course, they should added in Numista catalog, even if only 1 set issued, - here You are right, of course

If I'm not mistaken, all Royal Mint mint sets are proof sets? Do the proof coins have frosting?

On a related note, it's interesting that Morocco, which has historically used coins minted from the MdP, switched over and currently uses coins issued by the Royal Mint.

So, Proof didn't mean always Proof ????
Krause refers sometimes to exact this coin sets; I think this are really Proof coins (it's just a quality grade of minting?), although other sets more "official" or from the MdP.
Anyway, I would be glad to see in catalogue... ;-)

no, not all. I have two swazi sets:

1, " The first coinage of Swaziland"
2" The first Proof coin set of Swaziland"

and proof set is really proof. but mintset is just Brilliant ( or special ) unc
Hello,

This is listed in Krause as KM#PS2; and it's listed as a normal set not proof.

I've posted in the forum asking if its BU of Proof
https://en.numista.com/forum/topic59858.html

let's see if someone knows better

PS: Hering, I will use your set pictures in the coins sheets with "(C) Hering" below it - if that's fine
