Please could some one tell me if this QE2 brass golden coin is worth anything as the A side is correct but my B side is not the same as the photo i have enclosed it has Hayes ( A side )Park School on it, its in excellent mint condition. (B side.) please email me ferrarifan1956@gmail.com
Just a hunch, but I would suggest it is a medal, not a coin, and that it would be brass rather than gold. These would have been handed out to children & the like at street parties to celebrate the Golden Jubilee of HM The Queen.
Just because you can't see it ... doesn't mean it isn't there - Anon.
I have seen a different side A but not a different side B.
The first one below has the different side A and it sold for £1.31
The second one below is the same as yours and it sold for £0.54
Hope that helps - and welcome to the site

Yes its a token or "medallion" as some might call it. I think they are nice, but certainly not a "coin" as we understand them. Not even a prototype Ecu <g>
And yes, they were and similar items are still given to school children on special events, or certainly here in the south of England.
