Add a tag to the forum post form, something like [numista=1026/] or [numista=1026]this coin[/numista]
And get it rendered as 50 Yen - Shōwa or this coin accordingly.

Hello,
I'm closing this topic, since something similar was implemented some time ago. Just type “N#” followed by the Numista number of the coin, and it will turn into a link, looking like N#1.

Only an N# facility?

Yes

What else did you want? A random reference like KM is useless and wouldn't work, N# is universal and unambiguous.

N number is random….

Not really (it's time linear), but anyway with random I meant any reference book you choose doesn't matter which.

Good look, here post this nice reference number KM#10 and link the specific coin page to it (but just the right one).

Random by all means, next one coming in first gets the number. Differently said, there's no logic behind it…. It's called random!

Yadayada, the different possible numbering systems were talked about ad nauseam and no universal structured system would have worked long or would be ridiculously complex to the point of uselessness … you still haven't said anything about what you thought more would be implemented.

Only an N# facility?

It was a question.

With an intend behind it, but I let it drop … nothing interesting (which I thought was behind it) will come from pushing further.
