Please help identify this coin

3 posts
I was given this coin many years ago by a work colleague and have recently discovered it again as I had put in my desk drawer and basically covered it up with other numismatic stuff.
Now that it is seeing the light of day for the first time in possibly years, I would like to discover what it is or represents.
The coin weighs 12.95grms, is 34mm diameter and 2mm thick.

I believed when I first got it that it was a fake/copy, but you are now my judges

Hope photographs are of decent quality to help with identifiaction

I'm just a collector of coins, not a slave to it, unless I am in a coin shop.
For all you banknote collectors. Link to my swap list.

looks like a replica of a "roman" coin
If I see the picture on wildwinds, it might be real, but I seem to see redish color (or is that the light?)
