I was wondering if anyone can reference this Interregnum Hungarian Denar with an A-crescent/n mint mark. I believe it is from 1439/40. Thank you.
Before I get you the reference, did you look it up in Réthy?

Réthy, L., Corpus nummorus Hungariae - Magyar Egyetemes Éremtár I. Kötet, Budapest Magyar Tudományos

If that doesn't help, post it again and I'll give you further info via Huszár and Unger..
I didn't see it in Rethy.

Well, you didn't look hard enough and your dates are wrong. It should have been 1444-1446. It is here as Réthy-152:

The reference to the other two books is Huszár-613 and Unger-480
I noticed that one,but when I expanded the image,it shows mint mark B-star/n. Maybe, the A-crescent/n is a variation of 152. Except for the mint mark it is the same.

Attributions, typically, doesn't go into that level of detail. Imagine how many unique numbers you would need for each mint, sigla variations (moneyer marks) and type of coin! Unger, however, adds a small letter to the attribution number for various mint marks which is simpler. Here is the entry in Unger:

Thank you. No wonder I was beating my head against the wall.
I forgot about a DVD I bought from ebay about 2 years ago. Included on it there is a catalog called Numi Hungariae,Iacobus Rupp dated 1846. It has that mint mark listed during the 1444-46 time period like you said and listed in Table XVI,number 461.
Thanks. I wasn't aware of this particular book:

Numi Hungariae Hactenus Cogniti, Quos Delineatos, Ac E Monumentis Historico-Numariis Illustratos by Jacobus Rupp

It has now been added to by ever-growing library of Numismatics books...
