Netherlands 25 Cent proof

3 posts
I have this coin, 1980 Netherlands 25 cent - https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces656.html

The one I have is a clear Cameo proof as you can see by the pics below

The catalogue lists this coin as nickel, this one is highly magnetic similar to steel or iron.
NGC isn't much help either as that also lists it as nickel and gives a high valuation price for the 1980 proof which I am not taking seriously.

I have attempted to find it on google but not having a lot of success.

hi,
Nickel is a magnetic metal like steel, Iron or cobalt, so this is normal.
on the Royal Dutch Mint website (knm.nl) you can get proof sets for between 10-17 euros (though 1980 is not available there).

Hope it helps.
Regards,
I was thinking of cupronickel. oops.

Must be this one
