Gold or no? [solved]

4 posts
Hello everybody,

I found myself stranded with these coins: 20mm diameter. I don't know how to measure their weight, but, compared to some mine aluminium coins, weight could be as known here:

Other indicators, some of the lot are worn more than others, some have some marks on them.

Questions are: Are these golden? Have you ever found these to be fakes? All of mine are holed, and I assume they were worn on a necklace. Why would anybody wear a necklace out of faked coins?
And last but not least, why, out of my lot of 25, all of them but two are of the same regnal year? Moreover, those two have same diameter, but different flowers, and another three have same flowers as most of the lot, but they measure about 1 mm less than the rest.

Hope I did not get you lost too, and thanks for any response.

doesn't look like gold.

These coins are often replicas used by belly dancers.
