I have been trying to identify this one for over a year now having placed it on several web site forums and had no replies.

From the ugliness i suspect Partabgarh is the main candidate.

These ideas are based on the assumption that your coin is not ancient ...
It is most likely not Indian. The rectangular flan and sun face does seem closer to "iranian civic copper coinage". If anyone has a good reference book on that maybe it's worth taking a good look at it.

Noooo, anything but that ! I hate iranian civil copper coins. I'm not touching that category.
At a glance tho, i did find similar shapes to roy's coin. And the sun face is quite common too. No exact match, but i'm not browsing those anymore.
