Hi people I have an 1887 double florin here, need some second opinions on the grade.
I would like to say aunc but I'm going safe and say XF
What do you people think?

EF, if it wasn't for that rim bump at 6 o'clock I'd go AU.
There are two types of 1887 by the way, Arabic and Roman, yours is the latter.

Yer was aware it was Roman as it has a I instead of a 1. That's why I was being conservative with my grading; think I am getting the hang of grading now. Cheers guys. I'm going with xf.

I think the ding you are refering to is the light playing tricks, just had look there is no ding, it does look that way in the pic i must say.

It is a darker part making the edge look curved in.
EF looks the right one (according to my British grading book, not my vast skills grading), tiny bit of wear to the crown and a tiny part of the veil.
