1919KN Penny odd colour. [solved]

Would anyone know a reason why this coin would be pink in colour? It doesn't shine like it has been polished, I have got the images showing the colour I see it as close as possible, it also seems to have a brass/bronze tinge when viewed at certain angles.

Any opinions what has made it turn this colour?  B.

weird coin day today  :O  B.

Looks like an acid cleaned copper/bronze coin to me ... in this case most likely vinegar.
The coin should have quite a rough surface which breaks the light differently one reason why it looks that way.  8.
it was some kind of residue, I gently rubbed a moist cue tip/ cotton bud in one area and it revealed the normal copper tone colour without much effort, figured it didn't matter if it was damaged/cleaned, glad I did now.

I hope whatever was on the coin wasn't toxic  B.

If it went of that easy I also don't know what it is maybe it was preserved in peptobismol  :8D

Nice penny, is it on a bronze table?

Bronze table? You mean is the base metal bronze? then that would be yes, the 1919KN is a bronze coin.

I would be happy to get a bunch of coins covered in the weird pink stuff if they all look like this underneath.

Or do you mean what the coin is actually sitting on? then that would be in a quadrum coin case which has dimpled black insert with a hole the exact size of a penny.

No, that looks more like Tylenol.
I personally think it was a coin left by the tooth fairy, sprinkles of magic dust still abundant!
