Before was racism and the same came after.
"Such is life" Ned Kelly
It's a shame to see a beautiful and prosperous country reduced to living off UN food handouts. Mugabe must rank as one of the most despicable human beings ever to have lived.

Back in the early 80's I worked with an exiled "Rhodie" who was probably the most intimidating man I ever met. He was a Selous Scout during the war and we talked a lot about Rhodesia. He would become quite emotional, tearful even, which I found strange in such a rugged type of guy.

We became good friends, played soccer for the same team and drank enough beer to sink a battleship. Here's the interesting point, he was one of the least racist people I have ever met. Many of the troops who fought by his side were black and he had the utmost respect for them and was genuinely worried about their safety once Mugabe started to degenerate. He sent money and helped out the family of one of his black comrades.

The war was a struggle against marxist terrorists, race was pretty much a side issue. That's what he told me anyway, and he is better placed to have an opinion than I am.
Non illegitimis carborundum est.  Excellent advice for all coins.
