These coins are only similar one one side but the design is nearly identical. I don't know if they had the same designer or if the Italian coin was inspired by the German one.

Do 2 Euro coins look like 10 Baht coins of my country? I got a 2 Euro coin a few days ago from circulation.
I also heard that Machines in Eurozone will not detect my 10 Baht coins, so they won't allow tourist with 10 Baht coins entering their country. Is that true?

I eared that a dozen years ago there were still cash change machines in the Gare du Nord in Paris, which was known to be full of baht coins or other similar ones instead of this famous €2 coin.
Since then this machine no more exists unfortunately.

I posted in another thread (https://en.numista.com/forum/topic41615.html) the Venetian Grosso and the copies that were initiated in the Eastern World. Following that theme, here is another Venetian Gross and several other "copies":
Venice: Giovanni Dandolo (1328-1339) AR Grosso (Paolucci #2)
Obv: IO DANDVL S M VENETI DVX; Doge and St. Marco standing facing, holding banner between them
Rev: IC - XC; Christ Pantokrator enthroned facing
Bulgaria: Georgi Terter II (1322-1323) AR Grosh (Raduchev & Zhekov 1.10.1)
Obv: Christ enthroned facing, IC XC across field
Rev: Georgi and St. Mark standing facing, holding banner between them
The following coin is NOT mine, but I wish it was :
The Zangid Atabegs of Aleppo: Nur al-din Mahmud ibn Zangi (1146-1174 CE) AE dirham
So much countries were copying each other to have its coins accepted by their commercial partners in Middle Age.
