½ versus 1/2

One thing that bugs me about the search function is that when you're looking for some kind of half-cent or other denomination with "½" in it, is that the search term "1/2" does not often yield the same results as "½" as a single character does, and I often have to manually go and get the "½" character and copy-paste it into the search field to get more helpful results. It would be helpful to have vulgar-fraction characters like "½" as buttons on another "special keyboard" alongside the ones for different languages. Any thoughts?
Tax Tokens: the greatest worthless collectible.
Its written in the Numista (Guidlines for editing the catalogue).
½ should be added to the title (Name/type of the coin *)
and 1/2 for the two fields of face value.

If Im not mistaken and these have been added correctly to the coin file then it doesn´t matter if you search for ½ or 1/2 all coins should come up.

There are several ennoying things about searching coins in advanced search.
e.g. if I search for Bolivia 5 Centavos 1890 I have to enter 0.05 in the nomination field. But the coins says "5" not "0.05". But looking for an US Cent I can enter a "1" in this field. It is very inefficient having to enter for example "0.01" instead of "1" so it should be allowed to change it for every coin to put the short form in the Face value "in figure form" field.

The nomination 'in figures' field is also used to order coins from highest value to lowest, so in decimal systems, a cent should be entered as 0.01, while in non-decimal systems, fractions can be used, like 1/240 for a british penny.

The nomination 'in words' should have the denomination as written on the coin.

OK, I understand. So there are the three fields:
1. Name/type of the coin
2. value in words
3. value in figure

1 has to be in numbers always, e.g. 5 Centavos
2 has to be as written on the coin
3 needs to be in 0.05/1/20

but 2 also defines if a coin can be found searching e.g. "20" in the nomination field in the advanced search. There should be found a solution for the coins where the value isn't written on the coins in numbers but in words because these coins you can't find if you enter the nomination.

And the same problem exists with years, coins countries with other calendars than the christian one there is no clear line.

On this one numista uses the islamic year, on the coin there are both islamic and christian year (I think this is how it should be for all of these coins)

This one says 1964 in numista but on the coin it says  ۱٣٨٣ and 1964
https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces2452.html

and the worst: commemorative coins that don't have any year. It says No Date and the real year in brackets, so it is not possible at all to find it if you are looking for coins of 1975
