Are you aware of any books about Portugal in an electronic format? I would be particularly interested in Portugal in the last 500 centuries and Portuguese colonies.

In New Zealand, we have the wonderful John Bertrand catalogue that comes out most years and is a very cheap ($18) yet thorough catalogue. Published by Philatelic Distributors, it's been around at least since the 70s and published under many people such as Auckland Coin and Bullion (80s), Stirling (90s), Premiere (2000s)a nd now John Bertrand (Mainly Tony Grant)

It lists - all predecimal, decimal and collectors coins, along with sets

Banknotes and tokens too! and even a section on various varieties and coin errors!

For the price, I consider it an essential buy for all NZ collectors and collectors of NZ coins. A more detailed handbook published Anthony Lampard has not been updated since 1981.

This at least keeps track of everything and all the nonsensical gimmick coins issued by NZ Post each year.

Sorry periods covered

Tokens 1857 - 1881
Co op type ones - 1860s - 1950s
Communion Tokens 1846 - 1900
Banknotes (1840 - 1932, limited coverage) Reserve Bank 1934 - now detailed
Coins - All Predecimal 1933 - 1965 and Decimal 1967 - 2018, includes all Proof and Uncirculated sets,
Collectable coins - 1935 now including all the modern junk, but not private bullion ones from NZ Mint.
Details on history, conditions and errors.

Only shows NEW ZEALAND coins, not Australian, British or foreign ones.
May have a couple of Australian and British tokens (Professor Holloway, but only as they were widely used here).
I love coins. Especially silver, gold and anything really old.

Across the ditch, our fair dinkum Aussie cobbers, also have the impressive Australian Coin and Banknotes Catalogue, made by Greg McDonald.

This copy is wildly out of date (2009) and started life as Renniks catalogue of Australian coins. It is updated every year and costs about $30 Australian. Bigger and thicker than its Kiwi cousin this covers the absolute plethora of Australian Material beginning with

Proclaimation coins, Australian mint gold coins, Predecimal Australia, Decimal Australia

Modern collectable junk and silver and gold bullion (The Australian output makes ours look miniscule) and of course banknotes. The detail is incrediblem, with all errors and varieties and details on artists etc.

Periods Covered

History 1788 - now
Proclaimation (1800) coins and 1813 Holey Dollars
1852 - 54 Adelaide Gold pounds etc
1855 - 1932 Australian Mint Gold coins
1910 - 1964 Australian Predecimal coinage and commemoratives
1966 - 2008 Australian decimal coins and commem coins (More recent additions have more recent coins and my guess is these have exploded further).
1966 onwards commems, one offs, sets and bullion series - (Started early 80s, really took off after 1986)

Banknotes (All from 1913 first commonwealth series to 2008 latest issues)

Dealers directory, all special packs and issues
Section on unissued coins and tokens - factboxes and lots of data.

However NO TOKENS are mentioned.
I love coins. Especially silver, gold and anything really old.

I'd just like to add here, for anyone who doesn't know already; Le Franc as a price catalogue is available in limited form online on cgb.fr's site, here:

Also I am not Italian, but I am sure @loruca will back me up when I nominate using the Gigante catalogue for Italian states and post-1861 coinage!
yup!
With an added side of the slightly more complete Montenegro!
I collect anything: If it's Italian or Italian states i collect it even more!
