1988 Bermuda One Cent -- Bronze, not Copper-coated Steel

I have a 1988 Bermuda One Cent coin.  Weight is 3.09 gm.  It is not attracted to a rare earth magnet.

The common version of this coin is copper-plated steel (KM#44a), but the one I have is bronze (KM#44).  Older forum posts talked about this coin and characterized it as a metal type error.

I'd say the condition is VF20, maybe XF40.  My camera doesn't take very good pictures or I'd post some.

Can anyone tell me the approximate value of this coin?  The usual websites where I look up values don't even mention a bronze 1988 Bermuda One Cent.  Thanks.
You may please check the value of KM#44 and 44a (NGC Price Guide) from World Coin Gallery.
Hope you will get the information required by you.

The NGC price guide does not list the 1988 One Cent if it is bronze.  It only lists copper-plated steel, but my coin is bronze.
It is available - KM#44:

Thank you rasa.  I did see that web page.  But it doesn't list a 1988 bronze coin.  The One Cent that year is supposed to be copper-plated steel; my coin isn't.

It looks like you do indeed have a metal type error coin here.
According to the weight, you have KM#44. Bronze, but wasn't minted in 1988.
KM#44a is the only 1 cent minted in 1988, but your's is too heavy (3.1g compared to 2.8g).

Can you supply a picture of the coin?
Just to confirm the date, it might be a 1986 that looks like 1988.

If it is 1988, then I reckon it's probably worth a bit more than $0.10.  ;)

I'm not an expert in any kind of coins, but I reckon I'm good at research and will do my best to help. Feel free to tell me my identifications/valuations/gradings are wrong. It's the only way I'll learn.
Turns out my wife's iPad takes better closeup pictures than my camera, so here's an image of my bronze 1988 Bermuda One Cent.

If anyone has thoughts about its value, they would be appreciated.

In the above reference, the specification reads as "Bronze". Please verify.

I have a 1988 bronze Bermuda cent too.
Rasa -- the thing we're both finding confusing is that they say 1986-1990 is bronze yet they do not show any quantity minted for 1988.  If you search for the 1988 coin on the NGC website you get a copper-plated steel one.

I'm trying to see if the Bermuda Monetary Authority can provide more information.  Thanks for your input on my questions.
