eBay or dealer

4 posts
Hi all,

I understand at the outset that a coin is only worth only what someone is willing to pay for it. I sold a few on eBay for a modest return . I have a few coins which catalogues say is either rare or worth a bit of money and I just don't believe I'll get a decent return.

Can someone recommend a decent dealer who won't rip me off - who might at least give me some decent quotes.

Thanks

Charles
Are the coins listed in your swap list?  Sometimes you can offer to swap or sell you coins to Numista members that may be looking for exactly what you are interested in selling (swapping) and you may get a better price or equal value in a swap.

Yes, it's a good way at this site.

As an example I saw an old English coin Henry vi I think  I own the same one  it's on eBay for 242 dollars no bids mind.

But of course to get a good price like that surely I would have to take it somewhere. As advised I have asked another user for a valuation.
