If you have the 1837 Copper penny in VF grade, it is worth nearly $300 (Only 175,000 were minted). The 1806 penny in VF grade is around $15.
Could you post photos of these coins?

Unfortunately , I got the date wrong (damn).
I know there are formal classifications of conditions and i am am not experienced enough to judge.
The penny is 1831 all detail can be seen
1807 more degraded
1797 cartwheel detail visible
Thanks for your help.

Right - I have sorted it out. The coin I have is 1837 but it's only about in inch wide so is it the right denomination ?
I think it's in good condition but I'm not sure ?
I am trying to send pics.

For the 1837, if it's about an inch, it's unlikely it's a
penny (34mm), the
half penny is 28mm, and the
farthing is 21mm.

I'm not an expert in any kind of coins, but I reckon I'm good at research and will do my best to help. Feel free to tell me my identifications/valuations/gradings are wrong. It's the only way I'll learn.
