Twenty Pence 2012 - misprint?!

Hey guys,

I just came back from a short trip to England and found this coin in my wallet.
It's a Twenty Pence coin from 2012 with, as it appears, some sort of a mustache over the Queen's face.



Is that a known misprint to anybody or did just somebody 'f**k' around with the coin?

Many british coins show splashes of metal. Not sure how they do that at the Royal Mint, and why these coins evade quality control.

I got a 2014 one a couple of weeks ago and she has a very pronounced Adam's apple !

Her looking like Kaiser Franz Josef was exactly my thought too - that's why I thought that somebody probably just 'modified' the coin. The Adam's apple looks funny as well!

I thought she looked like an Austrian too, but I'm not sure if my first thought was that specific one.
