Please help grade 1923 Canada one cent

4 posts
Hi! This is my first post. I found this 1923 Canada one cent MDing today. After rinsing it off with mineral water, and soaking in mild dish soap, this is the result. The coin seemed to retain some of the original red, but at the same time, making it difficult to see detail! Looks to me to be pretty close to UNC, but like I stated, the red flecks make it tough to see detail. Please any help would be nice! Thanks!

Soft bristle tooth brush, Hot soapy water for 1/2 hour. Cotton dab.

Those are Huge pictures, what did you take them with?

Based on the pearls or dots on crown, I would say VF, but the specs of dark, make it REAL hard to see.

Just a 10x loupe and camera zoom for focus! Yes, This is very hard to grade, was wondering also, would this type of surfacing add value, or decrease value? Thanks.

That would depend entirely on the individual collector ...
