Trimmed South Korean 100 Won

4 posts
In the pictures below are 3 coins. On the left is a normal South Korean 100 Won, in the middle is a trimmed South Korean 100 Won, and on the right is a South Korean 10 Won coin.

The trimmed (middle) coin is missing the outer edge (Which is now smooth) and is trimmed at the exact size of the 10 Won coin.

Any explanations for this? Should I regard this as an error coin? Any advice is most welcome.
My opinion,  looks like the 1992 had trim, but it is 22 years old. As well it looks like it has some wear to it. A lot of coins have off rims. I would at first glance say wear. But please provide diameter of the first two, to compare.

(I assume you added third coin just to show that other Korean coins have rims too)

The coin on the left is 24mm and the one in the middle is 22.86, exactly the same as the 10 Won coin. If the edge was purely worn, it would have been rounded and not consistent. The edge of the trimmed coin is the same as 10 Won coin, flat and smooth.
