Where did you get it?

This just helps because a coin store is a better source than a roadside stand. These are incredibly commonly faked.

I actually don't see anything obviously wrong with it, but with all Chinese silver coins, it's fake until proven real. It's from "Year 3" = 1913.

Again - start by assuming it's fake!

I didn't get it yet. Figured I would ask around here before deciding. Price is $30.00 for this coin, I mean it is WAAAAY to cheap, but just because someone is ignorant of value doesn't mean it is fake. I would love to snag this if it is real for $30.00.

**** Woah, I think this is a scam. They said it weighs 2.7 grams********

The guy said it is 1914 1 Jiao, I found it on numista.... How much is this coin worth do you suppose in this condition, is this even a considerable purchase?

Coin looks silver, most like it's real.
Oh, 1 jiao, not 1 yuan!! The difference is one character. Aargh z)

Well, that's another good sign, the larger yuan (dollar-size instead of dime size) is much more commonly counterfeited. Wow do I feel dopey. Here's the 1 jiao:

Legit! You are sitting on a gold mine here (year 3).
