Yes, I am still very fascinated! I found them with a metal detector not even deep in the sand. Normally all I find are Euro. In the meantime I found out that both are coins of 8 maradevis. One coin shows the date 1661. Does anyone know why those coins are refered to as pirate money?
Yes, that is right. And there was a lot of trade between Spain and Hamburg during that time. It is the third Spanish coin from that time that I have found at this place. I am sure that there are even more. It must be a hoard. I will search this place every millimeter very soon....
Hamburg was a major sea trade port at that time (Still is), very interesting that you found some nice History of foreign trade.

Does anybody know which mint the first coin is? The mintsign is clarly visible, but I have no overview about the different signs. Also I would be very grateful if somebody could help me out with the KM numbers. Thank you!!
