I bought a small bag of coins for next to nothing that I think are worth less than what I paid for them (£2) due to the extremely poor condition!!
I think they may have come out of the ornamental lake at Chatsworth house when it was recently drained, and hundreds of thousands of coins were retrieved and mostly banked!!
I actually bought some stamps from the lad and he mentioned these coins! I think he may have helped with the retrieval (he was handicapped).
There were a few of the cartwheel pennies, some young Victoria half and full pennies, and a few others that I have no idea what they are at all!!
All were covered in Verdigris
Diameter is 19.25mm

Sorry about the condition of the coin but I think it's been underwater for around 150 years
Some of the coins are scraped and mostly are copper (orange colour) this may be brass as it shines yellow.
Kind regards, John
